So Heather and her boyfriend Mike are here in Boston for the weekend. We ate at Kashmir. It was my first time. Damn good food let me tell you. Mmm.

Anyway, I still haven't gotten my glasses yet, which I'm kind of sad about. Oh well.

I'm just nervous about my IPEP presentation on Wednesday morning... at 8am. I have to wake up. I might have to sleep over someone's so I don't risk it. Ugh. I hate this sleeping problem! Blah.

Goodnight.

My Spring Break

Monday and Tuesday I had a lot of appointments and errands to attend to, so that is basically what I did for those two days. I had to go to the dentist twice, have a follow up to the eye doctor who performed surgery on me, and go visit my regular eye doctor for a checkup. I ended up getting new glasses.
Do you like them? I hope the ones I got fit. Since my head is so big, I had to get one two sizes up from the sample ones I tried on. And I hope they don't look too weird with my thicker lenses...

Anyway, onto Wednesday. So I went to NYC for the day with my Ate and Ate Malou. Boy, was it an eventful day. We got up at 8am and got ready and left. We took the PATH train to 42nd and got in line for TKTS, but since we wanted an 8pm show, we came back later since it was still early. So we went to go eat at Maxi's. Really good food. Even though it's expensive, you definitely get what you pay for. The portions are big. Wowza. So after we ate, we went back in line for TKTS and it was ordered until they let us loose in the booth area. It was like every man for himself. We ended up getting tickets for Mary Poppins, which by the way, was REALLY GOOD! I loved it! supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

Haha. So we got those tickets 50% off, which was a good deal, and we had some great seats even though they were on the side. After we got the tickets, we had coffee and dessert at Junior's, which you can see in one of my previous posts (just scroll down). It was soo good. I didn't get to finish it because I felt like I was going to explode! I loved it.

Then we traveled to Macy's, where by chance, we got to meet Eli Manning! It was exciting.
However, all we did was shake his hand, say a few words. We weren't allowed to take any pictures with him. They just gave us a "presigned photograph" of him. The photos were obviously mass produced, but oh well. It was pretty cool. He was doing some promotion thing with Citizen Watch and it's Eco-Drive.

Afterwards we had some time, so we headed to a couple of stores near the New Amsterdam Theater, where Mary Poppins was showing. I finally got a skinny black tie from H&M. I wanted other things, but I really wish I was skinny so I could wear all the things I wanted. I also got some pretty nice sneakers from Skechers. **Sorry I just tried to find the picture off the website but couldn't find it, and I'm too lazy to snap a photo myself of the actual show. Maybe I will later. But yeah they're really cool. It's black, white and red. So I got those.

Then we went to see the show and after just took the PATH back to Pavonia and drove back to Ate Malou's house. A long, but adventurous and eventful day.

And today, we went to go visit my parents at Atlantic City at Showboat. My sister and I walked the boardwalk some, and then hit up the outlet stores. I got my two for $5 Old Navy flipflops, colors gray and brown. I also got some nice $15 jeans at Aeropastale. My other jeans are starting to get a hole on the inside of my right thigh :( Oh well.

And now here I am, doing my laundry, because tomorrow I'm going to have to do some work. I have to hit up the group project work I have on OxyContin, as well as process my FAFSA because my dad told me not to do it yet because he needs to finish doing some figures. Ugh.

Anyway, break is almost over and I can't believe it. It definitely does not feel like I had a break though. I wish we had another week. But alas, I have to go back to school and hit up them books. Grrrrreeeat.

The betch dentist screwed burned my lip. Hoboken.

Oh well. I'll blog about my adventures in NYC soon.

A Sleepover

Due to my narcolepsy, here I am sleeping over Brigitte's place at 4:30am, getting up at 8am. Sweet. Exam at 12:15pm.

This has been the worst week ever.

I like it when the sun shines on me. The warmth gives me the feeling of being in a safe place. It also feels like there's hope and it's telling me to not give up.

Go listen to Clair de Lune, by Debussy. It's wonderful and romantic.

Guess Who's a Sucky Barista?

Ugh. I would've gone back and said "You long-haired hippy boy, this is not what I ordered." But I'm nice and just dealt with it.

What I wanted was a Venti Vanilla Creme. And I did accentuate the "C" in Creme. Oh well. He got Brigitte's order wrong too, but even worse. She wanted what I wanted but a Grande. Except she got a Grande Vanilla Latte. Um, creme and latte? The long-haired barista boy sucks. Whatever.

A Request

I can do this. I'm not giving up. I can do this.

If you're a stranger and just happened to come across my blog for some random chance, leave me a comment. Give me some encouragement. I'd really appreciate it.

You know when you get that feeling somehow everything is going to be okay?

Yeah. I can do this. I can do this. I can do this...

Poor car.

I'm sad. Oh well. Ilm planning to stay in boston for the summer anyway. I'm planning on getting a job or internship. I really need to do something with my life.

I'm also sad that I'm not as smart as other people. I have to struggle hardcore to get through things. I think I have a learning disabilty, but that's my opinion. Ugh.

At least it's the weekend and I can sort of relax a little. I still have to study hardcore for IPM lab and physio, as well as keep up on biochem and ceutics and hopefully finish my portfolio. Seriously. I just need to get that piece out of the way.

I also need to get freaking better already. Being sick sucks a lot. Everyone seems to be getting sick around here.

I also wish I could just play my violin whenever I want to but of course I chooe not to because I have to study instead.

Alright I have class. Goodbye.

Thursday, January 24, 2008

I love being in the library all the time. It's great stuff. Oh, college, where would I be without you?

Tuesday, January 22, 2008

From the Library.

Coming at you from the library today. This picture is a bad representation of the "gun in mouth" pose.

I'm so overwhelmed and everything and I know I keep saying this but it's so true. But I can't keep complaining, I just need to do it. The only problem is that these things are hard.

Gah. And I'm just hungry all the time. I want sweeties.

And boys are stupid. Period.

2nd Week

It's Tuesday tomorrow already?!

The fun never ends.

Sunday, January 20, 2008

Le Sigh

Getting through these days. It has only been a week and I feel so overwhelmed already. So many things to do. So many things to study for.

It is going to be worth it in the end.

That's all I keep telling myself. I just need to keep up on things.

But really though, I wish I could just get better already! I'm still sick! Ugh.

Ay Yi Yi

This semester is really the rate-determining step. There is so so so much to do. I should really be studying right now. Or organizing. Or reading. Or doing IPEP hw. I think I'm going to go hit up that IPEP hw... and have my Ramen noodles. Ugh.

Wednesday, January 16, 2008

Oh My God, this semester is going to suck. Big time.

There's so much stuff to do for IPEP and IPM, and then on top of that is all of our regular classes, pharmaceutics, biochem, and patho/physio. Ugh. Crazy stuff.

I fell asleep today in biochem and patho/physio. Hardcore. So I'm listening to lecture. Thank God for my lovely recorder.

Ugh. IPM lab sort of sucked. I feel so stupid for not knowing what you should tell a patient what NOT to take if they're taking Coumadin. After a good minute or two, I finally said the right answer. Aspirin. Obviously. Because it thins your blood, too. Ugh.

I need to work in a pharmacy. I hate that I never have and still haven't. Fudge.

Tuesday, January 15, 2008

I really, really hate being sick.

This is actually the first time in a long time that I've become sick. And it sucks. I was hacking up a lung all night, so I got little sleep, as well as all day, including in class and in the library. I cough so hard my whole body jerks. UGHHH. I need to see doctor... health center. I need some antibiotics.

Snow Day!

So because of the snow, we got a snow day today.
Awesome. Anyway, tomorrow will be the first day of classes now! Hoorah. It was freezing in my apartment all day until about an hour ago. The manager guy came up and checked out my heating because the guy above me said he wasn't getting any heat either. So manager guy turned up the heat. :)

I only have one class tomorrow at 11am. It's great because it's not too late or too early! Not like last semester, where I had Social Psych at 5pm!

I did some reading today. Biochemistry. There's already a lot to do. Don't you love this whole, read everything before you come to class, college lifestyle? Loves it. Not.

Anyway, I hope to do very well this semester. I know of some people that failed courses last semester and now they're in a bind... I feel really bad. For some, that means a whole year behind because now they have to wait to take the class over again which is only offered during the Fall semester. Isn't that a dumb system? Ugh.

I'm going to go read some more Biochem, and do some more drug cards. I'm already behind. Hoorah.

AND I'm going to take more random pictures of me and my friends because why not? They're good memories for the future.
